**** RFL WEEK IN REVIEW ****
IT ALL COMES DOWN TO MARSHALL

MFaulk led Joebob's Mahatma's Minions to victory over Having a Hard Time in one semifinal. From the bench, EGeorge and DJackson M. L. Carr'ed Clark's Dude on to victory over Everyone Go Deep in the other semi.

Joebob vs. Clark. Mahatma's Minions vs. Dude. The Brown Blunder vs. Wonder Bread. Who will claim Aglione Bowl XII?

Highest scoring team: Mahatma's Minions - 50.4 ppg
Lowest scoring team: Rabbis Rappin' on 'Roids - 29.8 ppg
Toughest defense: Mahatma's Minions - 29.6 ppg
Softest defense: Rabbis Rappin' on 'Roids - 43.6 ppg
League scoring average: 37.5 ppg (last year 38.7)

Getting to the bloody point... on to WIR #16!

**** GAME OF THE WEEK ****

#4 Dude 50
#8 Everyone Go Deep 35

Clark tried his best to sabotage his shot at a first-ever appearance in the Aglione Bowl. By benching Eddie George's 21 and Darrell Jackson's 18, Clark made the final score a lot closer than the actual performances on the field would have indicated. Dude did manage one bit of trickery against his opponent... by dangling Skip Hicks on the waiver wire, Clark was able to get Gary (who notoriously favored SHicks over SDavis 2 years ago in the 'skins backfield) to drop David Terrell's 6 bench pts in favor of a Hicks who DNP. Dude moves on to face the Mighty Mighty Minions in Aglione Bowl 12. Everyone Go Deep will be playing against HaHT for a difference of 25 RFL bucks in the 3rd place game.

Semifinal #2:

#3 Having a Hard Time 23

60 pts in 2 playoff games... hmmm... I guess MFaulk wants back-to-back RFL Playoff MVP awards. All of Richard's horses and all of Richard's men couldn't piece together enough pts to top Faulk. Even if Richard had started all 12 of his players, HaHT would still have lost to MM's starting backfield 51-50. Does Joebob have the Minions peaking at the right time? Or will the dropoff come in the Ags Bowl?

It wasn't pretty, but Wang isn't throwing it back either. For the first time ever in Wang's 8 RFL seasons, one of his teams managed to beat a team helmed by League Founder Cals. Cals did indeed work his mojo again in this game - causing Wang to drop BChamberlain's 9 pts in favor of a goose-egg from Boo Williams. And... Cals willed MAlstott to his 32-yd TD run against the Ravens - when all TB needed to do was run out the clock. But thanks to a most abysmal performance by Boobies!' bench, BUBE was able to pull this one out.

Plaxico saved the day in this one for Kevin. On a day when the Uffdalators' RBs were outscored by CGarner (and with Van Pelt getting pelted by McNabb), Kevin needed - and got - a big win in the WR matchup. After showing some heart down the stretch of the regular season, RMoss has totally packed it in during the postseason (scoreless in 2 starts). Kevin now faces Wang for 25 RFL bucks.

TGonzalez had it with seeing Marvcus Pollard ahead of him in the TE pts standings and took matters into his own hands. SDavis also had a nice game - before inexplicably allowing Ki-Jana to run 2 TDs in. Chrebet and CCarter are stating their cases for WR Flop-of-the-Year. Don't know why Shiv benched Jamel behind a worthless Tyrone.

Loss of Bettis has devastated John's Jerseyites - who managed to lose AGAIN to BCW (despite getting 15 from Thrash). Brad has set the new record for most wins by a team of Draft leftovers - and will take aim at win #6 in the Scrub bowl championship game.

**** AGLIONE **** BOWL **** XII ****
#2-Mahatma's Minions (13-3, 50.4) vs. #4-Dude (10-6, 42.0)

KMangumABecht
JElamSJanikowski

In Week 2 Joebob trounced Clark 63-27, but Clark's Dude featured a much different lineup in that game. All 7 of Clark's Week 2 starters could potentially be changed: KCollins (JFiedler), EGeorge (SMack), DStaley (SAlexander), CConway (DJackson), OGadsden (MBooker), RWilliams (ABecht) and SJanikowski (RLindell). On the other hand, nearly all 7 of Joebob's Week 2 starters will return: MBrunell, MFaulk, RSmith, IBruce, JElam. Joebob will most likely replace RDayne and WWalls with RHuntley and KMangum.
After stumbling down the regular season stretch (2-3 in Weeks 8-12), Joebob's Mahatma's Minions have won 4 straight by scoring 44, 65, 53 and 74 pts.
Clark's Dude was in full collapse mode at the end of the regular season - with 4 straight losses in Weeks 11-14. But RWatters' broken foot in Week 14 enabled Clark's Shaun Alexander to return to the lineup just in time for the Playoffs. Dude has responded with 67 and 50 pts in their 2 Playoff games.
Clearly MFaulk is the key to Aglione Bowl XII. If he scores 27 or 33 as he did in the last 2 games, Dude should not have a shot. However... if the Rams turn to the non-IBruce passing game in their finale and Dude puts together 50+ pts, Clark just might have enough of a balanced attack to win his first Aglione Bowl championship.
Joebob does not face too many tough choices in submitting his starting lineup. Should RDayne start ahead of RHuntley? Should PPrice get some PT PT? Most likely not.
However... the decisions Clark makes could have a tremendous bearing on the outcome from Dude's perspective. JFiedler or KCollins at QB? EGeorge or SMack at RB #2? Do JJ Stokes' 2 TDs last weekend merit playing time in the Ags Bowl? And then there's RLindell vs. SJanikowski.
Brunell should give Joebob a slight edge over either Dude QB. Clark will hope that EGeorge/SMack will outpoint RHuntley enough to even up any edge Faulk has over SAlexander. Rod and Isaac both give Joebob edges on paper, but DJackson and MBooker are both capable of doing quite well for Clark. The TEs and PKs are total crapshoots.

**** We'll go out on a limb: Dude by 1 ****

Other Tilts:

3rd place game (The License Plate):
Everyone Go Deep (8-8, 35.0) by 11 over Having a Hard Time (10-6, 39.6)
Gary looks to RB #2 and WRs to finish with a winning record. Richard appears to have run out of gas.

5th place game (The Lipton Cup o' Soup):
Uffdalators (9-7, 41.3) by 4 over Brooding Unicorn Blithe Elephant (14-2, 45.9)
Kevin's RBs are due, and Plaxico should outpoint BUBE's non-Boston WR. Wang apparently rode his team too hard in the regular season.

7th place game (The Fork in the Road):
Boobies! (8-8, 42.0) by 6 over Short-Changed Bastards of Persia (7-9, 34.1)
Cals has edges at RB and TE. Which RMoss will show up for Ali? It *is* MNF, but it also will be the BAL D.

Scrub Bowl Championship
Fighting Poopy Diapers (7-9, 36.5) by 7 over Blue Collar Workers (5-11, 31.3)
Baby Brodz has RBs and TE. Perhaps the Steel Curtain will come down on Brad this week.

11th place game (The Silver Spoon):
Pimps de la Nast (4-12, 34.1) by 5 over Jersey Juggernauts (8-8, 33.8)
Shiv closing with a flourish; TDavis and CCarter are keys. John should win if MHarrison and JThrash duo is dynamic again.

13th place game (The Whine Glass):
Cleveland Steamers (8-8, 39.3) by 12 over Invasive Species (8-8, 32.4)
Vesh deserves to finish with winning record. Ahman should lead the way. Stan doesn't appear to have TO's heart anymore.

Avoid 16th place game (The Knived Butter):
Black Knights of the Charles (6-10, 32.9) by 2 over Rabbis Rappin' on 'Roids (3-13, 29.8)
You'd expect JoePa to be favored by more. EMoulds and FJones are keys for Adam.

Lineups due by 10am Pacific Sunday!!!
